  1. Science Fair- This website is an awesome way to find activities for students to use in a Science Fair. Students would also be able to use this website themselves and find activities they can do too. Teachers could also use this website to find projects their class can do. The website was easy to navigate and a student or teacher would not have any problems navigating the site. The student or teacher just has to search for a topic and look through the list. It is easy to find a project to do.

Science- This website takes you to a list of other great science activities. It is nice that each site has its own synopsis, which tells you all about the site. The website has many activities that are from different types of sciences. Students or teachers would easily find an activity on something they are learning or teaching. This site is also easy to navigate. The activities would be great to use in a classroom to show or demonstrate what students are learning. The activities are great for a variety of ages.

Science Treasure Hunt- This is a good way for students to review science concepts they have learned in the past or a great way for a teacher to have students search for a topic they are learning. The site is easy to navigate and has the questions the students are looking for in an easy place for them to see and easily worded. The only thing I do not like is that it does not give a grade level for the activity. The places to find the questions are also a good place for students to learn about a new topic or to read about a topic they have already learned.

  2. Science Treasure Hunt 02- I like this treasure hunt because it has the websites where students can find the answers right away and also the page has hints for the students. I like the pages because you know they will be appropriate for students and you do not have your students looking through all kinds of websites on the internet. I also like students are able to learn about a variety of science topics. Students will be able to learn new information or review old information they have learned in the past.

Yuckiest Site on the Internet- Students would love this website. Young students love bugs and worms. Students will love doing this activity and love watching the movies of the bugs and worms. This activity also allows students to work in groups or work alone. Students will be able to visit the safe website, which is appropriate for students. The activity offers questions for students to answer and follow. Students will be able to discuss what other groups found. I also like how the website says what grades the activities can be used for.

  3. Science Fair Preparation - This site would be very beneficial for both teachers and students. It gives a lot of ideas for Science Fair projects to students and tips on how to make their presentation look professional. I think it would also be helpful for teachers because they could get a sense of how they should run their own science fair. Also the site could help the teacher prepare a rubric for the project.

Yuckiest Site on the Internet - I would have loved this when I was a kid, and I am sure other kids both boys and girls would like this activity. Kids are fascinated by bugs and critters and this activity puts their curiousity to good use. Since the topic is something the children are interested in they will be more connected to the content and learn more than about a subject they didn't really care about.

Science Treasure Hunt 3 - This treasure hunt seemed interesting. It asked a lot of pretty random questions, but it also sparked curiousity. I think children would really enjoy this site because they will really want to find the answers to the questions. Also the hints they give urge students to search dictionaries, stock prices etc. Children will get more experience using these resources, which will only help them in the future.

Science Treasure Hunt 1 - This treasure hunt was the best one I think. The questions asked were very scientific. I really liked how it gave students the website that was needed to answer the question. The students will probably naturally explore the website and learn something more than what the treasure hunt question asked. Also since the treasure hunt gives the sites you don't have to worry about students going to inappropriate sites to find the answers.

Science - I think this site was my favorite because of all the information it had on it. There is a list of several websites that are great sites for kids to go to and learn all different types of information. I especially enjoyed the cells alive site. Everyone at some point has to learn mitosis and meiosis and having an interactive video really helps with understanding the processes involved. This site would be a great resource for teachers to gather ideas and activities for lessons to keep the students interested and engaged in science

  4. 8- Science Fairs- This is a site that has tons of information and resources for a science fair. It guides students through the process of selecting a topic, preparing for the science fair, etc. It also lists the reasons why science fairs and beneficial and resources and ideas for students to explore while contemplating their topic. I think that this would be a good site for students who have never done a science fair before, as well as ones who have. This site provides helpful information for the students and parents to access while assisting their child.
6- Yuckiest Site on the Internet- The Yuckiest site answers kids’ questions about their body, recycling, worms, and roaches. This site allows students to explore an interest area or a question that they have and learn about it. They include fun sounds, illustrations, and the site itself is visually appealing. I think students would really enjoy exploring this site, and it could be used as something for students to explore after finishing an in-class assignment.
5- Treasure Hunt- This is a WebQuest for students. The page suggests sites for students to explore and find their answers, but also gives them the freedom to explore other listed search engines. While the sites listed may be appropriate to allow students to explore to find the answers, if you are going to allow students to explore other search engines you are going to have to monitor their searches.
3- Science Treasure Hunt- This is another WebQuest for students. Like the WebQuest listed above, students are given a question that they have to explore sites for the answer. However, this site lists site specific questions so that students have to visit the listed sites to find their answers. I like this WebQuest better than the one listed above because students are limited to the sites listed and do not have the freedom to explore other search engines.
2- Science- This is a list of on-line resources for teachers to use in the classroom. They are listed by organization or by topic. Each site has a brief description of the site that you can read through before choosing to explore the site. I would use this list of resources and try to tie them into lessons in the classroom as an additional source for students. Any site that contains interactive content would be a great way to engage students in the content and would be beneficial to include in a lesson.

  5. Science Fairs- I think this is a great website for children to use because every child thinks that the science fair is fun and exciting. It is hard for students to come up with their own interesting ideas that someone else has already not used and i think this site is a great way to allow students to do some research and searching on their own to find the information they find interesting enough to do at the science fair.
Yuckiest Site- I think this would also work for boys or girls, it is not only boys that find yucky and gross things interesting. I think this is a good way to get students interested in science.
Treasure hunts- These are a great way to keep students engaged and interested in the lessons. These hunts allow students to use the information they already know with the new knowledge to find an answer. It is good to make students wonder about the answer and search for it using the resources they know how to use. This is a great tool to use in the classroom because it gives you the site necessary to finish the tasks so students do not have any reason to be searching inappropriate sites on the internet. Overall i think this is a great resource tool to use in the classroom with any age children.
Science- This site was very interesting and it would be a great resource tool in the classroom, it allows different interactive and interesting ways to teach students complicated subjects in science.

  6. Science Fair Fundamentals
This website was very informational for teachers, students, and even parents. I believe that all science teachers should know about this website in order to complete a well developed science fair. According to Science Fair Fundamentals, teachers should involve both the students and parents into the science process. In addition, I thought the resources such as the 500 or more science fair project ideas would be a great place for students to browse in order to develop ideas about a project. Finally, this website provided several additional websites that show experiments that may be completed through the project. I believe that every science teacher needs to have this webpage bookmarked!

    Science
This website has various biology materials that teachers may use in their classroom. In addition, the website provides online seminars, discussion groups, news updates/discoveries, and classroom activities. I believe that the Cell Alive website link would be very informational and helpful for student learning about cells. This specific website provides online quizzes, puzzles, displays, video, etc in order for students to learn the content. Also, I thought the link to the anatomy website would be beneficial for upper elementary and junior high school students who were studying about the human body. This website provides an up-close view of each of the different body systems such as skeletal, muscular, etc.

    Science Treasure Hunt
This website provides a wide variety of additional websites that allow students to explore and expand their content knowledge by completing activities. An interesting website, Volcano World, allows students to browse Facts and Questions about different volcanoes. The website has a volcano of the month and provides detailed information on the location. I think that this specific website would be beneficial for teachers to use in their classroom to teach about volcanoes because many students have not seen or experienced a real live volcano.

    Science Fair Preparation
This website tips for teachers and students in creating a well constructed science project and science fair. The website lists a group of questions each student should ask themselves in order to choose a science topic. I think these questions would be a great tool for all students, (elementary, middle, and high school), to use to select a topic. In addition, the website provides students with tips for presenting their project and demonstrating knowledge of the topic. The most beneficial information on the website includes the scoring information and science fair forms in which all science teachers should know where and when to access these documents.

    Science Fair
The Wonders of Science website provides students and teachers with science questions to answer throughout the school year. If I was a science teacher, I would use one of these questions each month in my classroom and conduct a science experiment with my students. For example, I would allow my student to hypothesize a question such as: Why do feet smell? Then, we would research and make conclusions based on evidence that each student found. Throughout the process, I would allow my students to complete an experiment about each of the questions. For example, students may want to know why some feet smell worse than others by looking at many different students’ shoes/feet. Finally, each student would create their conclusion about the question based on the research, experiment, and discussion.

  7. (1) Science Fair Fundamentals: Science fairs are a great way for students to explore and present knowledge and activities they have researched on topics they find interesting. So, I enjoyed this site because it had a list of multiple resources that had lists of possible science fair topics. This would be a very beneficial tool to give to students if they have to do a science fair project. It would give them many ideas, and that way, there would be many possibilities to spark their interest.
    (3) Science Treasure Hunt: Again, I liked this activity for all the same reasons I liked 4 and 5. This one sticks to just science questions, and it is a way to test students knowledge and web searching skills. It is an activity students will enjoy doing, I believe, so that is another reason to use it in the classroom. However, compared to the other two, I did not like the fact that it did not give hints. If they just have the website, students may have to search through many pages on that website, and it might get frustrating for them. I would think that some sort of a hint to lead them in the right direction would be helpful, at least for elementary students.
    (4) Science Treasure Hunt: I like this activity for all the same reasons I like number 5. It tests their knowledge and their ability to search the web. However, I also like that this treasure hunt focuses solely on science concepts, not multiple subjects. This, I feel, could be used to expand on ideas they have been learning throughout the semester. Once again, I wouldn’t just use this for a science class, but this could be something I could use in Language Arts, Math, Socials studies, every subject I may be teaching.
    (5) Science Treasure Hunt: This is an activity that I think students would enjoy. It is a fun activity that not only tests their knowledge, but their ability to search on the web. Having students complete this “treasure hunt” is a great way to introduce them to the idea of searching for answers on the web to prepare them for future assignments. What makes this activity so nice is the fact that teachers can create their own for any type of subject or theme they want their students to search on. This activity is something I would use in my own classroom, though I probably won’t use these exact questions.
    (6) Science Lesson: Yuckiest Site on the Internet: Once again, this is a great activity that students can use. I think that students who like these types of creatures would really enjoy this lesson, and students who find these creatures “yucky” would be able to learn just how important they are to our Earth. So, I feel this activity would be very beneficial for students to participate in.

  8. Science Fair Fundamentals- This is a great portion of the website. Students have so many choices they can make and this really does tell students the basics of a science fair project. Science fair central is just one of the site they suggested and has tons of ideas that take you step by step.
Science Fairs- I think this is a great website for kids to use in preparation for a science fair. This site contains countless curriculum ideas, postcards, research tools, treasure hunts, web links, web projects, web picks and more. I really liked the postcard feature I think this is a great way to help kids look at science and integrate language arts.
Science Treasure Hunt- On this portion of the website I thought the cell alive game was really cool. I really liked how this site provided several links to other educational science websites. This website provides students with a lot of useful knowledge and makes it fun for kids to learn on the web.
Yuckiest Site on the Internet- In this activity students will work in groups to investigate two different organisms, a worm from the annelid phylum, and a cockroach from one of the insect orders. Each group will conduct their investigations using the Web as a resource, and a real example of the organism for comparison. This web site has very graphic pictures and a lot of good information.
Science- I think this site overall was very interesting and it would be a great resource tool in the classroom. The site allows different interactive and interesting ways to teach students complicated subjects in science.

  10. Science Fair Fundamentals:
Boy I wish sites these were around back when I had to endure nine high-speed years of creating science projects for my annual Saint Joseph’s School Science Fair Fiasco. I got to say that I am pretty jealous that they compiled copious amounts of science project ideas for students to adapt into their own project. This sure makes heading to the teacher store at the mall in order to gather materials with a science project idea engraved into the mind a little easier. I liked the various web resources contained on this site under the subpage called treasure hunt. The most intriguing think that literally jumped out at me was Project T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. Ah Twinkies one of the reasons for making me fat towards the end of middle school; now it’s personal! What a better way to promote a healthy/nutritional classroom environment than torturing, I mean subjecting these “Noxious Inorganic Kakes” to science.

    Science Treasure Hunt:
I thought this website provided excellent web quest style resources to utilize in your classroom. The topics range from learning about the immune system, physical science, detritus feeders, meteorology, geology, astronomy, chemistry, and conquering the classroom skies with prototype paper planes! Personally I believe that these websites would be great for fourth or fifth grades from the elaborate content contained within. Because I am new to seeing the world through glasses I believe that the optics site was the most intriguing for me. The site contains all types of information about concentrating light into lasers or bending and breaking the light with prisms. Again I believe that this site is great for an older grade level.

A Return to Science Treasure Hunt (Number 4):
This one contains science questions and website in a format similar to trivia questions. This is more of a formatted search for the answer type of web quest designed for students in an older grade level due to presentation of the high amounts of scientific information. There are ten questions on this page and directions that give teachers to utilize this in their classroom. I believe that I could see myself using this for a web quest in my classroom but I am more interested in the vast amounts of internet resources made available from these ten questions that span almost all ranges of science.

Science Lesson: Yukiest Site on the Internet
Who doesn’t like insects besides squeamish and skittish people! There’s nothing like searching for morel mushrooms in the beginning of spring and spotting a parasite tick scurrying up your left leg! Alright this website was awesome. First thing I liked about this was that it was a lesson with science standards located on the right column; although I do not know if this is national or state! What I really liked from this lesson was that students are given the opportunity to compare and contrast two disgusta-bugs. Essentially, thanks to the provided guiding questions, students are required to make inferences about these two types of insects to draw relations with animals in the field of biology!

    Science Fair Preparation:
I thought that this was a supplemental website for gaining information on how to set up and achieve a successful science fair sortie. All of the information is written in how to directions and it’s relatively easy to follow. I liked the meta-cognitive questions contained on this page in regards to ensuring that the students select an effective science fair topic. I know that pretty soon I am going to taking control of some classroom in this great country and I am going to need a plethora of complimentary information types in order to ensure successful and elaborate educational endeavors.

  11. Science Fair Website: I liked this website because it gives you so many options to choose from. The website I liked a lot from the listing under this website was Brain Pop Science. I liked the layout and the different topics to choose from. Not to mention on the Science Fair website it gives you a brief summary of what to expect from that resource. I could see this website being a great resource especially when planning a science project; these will help in the planning and organizing process.
Science: Yuckiest Site on the Internet: This website would be great for kids because no matter what you’re going to get a high reaction from students; they are either going to love it or be disgusted. No matter what though, students will also be interested in learning about bugs because first off, they are everywhere, and second, students will want to know where these bugs appear and how they survive; for future reference. Besides, curiosity will get the students if you introduce the lesson by saying you’re going to show them the “yuckiest site on the internet”.
Science Fair Preparation: Hello! Thanks for this website. If anything this website helps so much because it just gives you the questions you need to ask yourself when planning science projects and fairs. The other part I liked about the website is that it provided tips on reducing stress; and those are my favorite tips of all to be honest!
Science: This website definitely gave a lot of websites ranging from a lot of different topic areas. I decided to visit the Space Calendar website. I thought this was very interesting. It tells you about various comets, asteroids, and other updates on space information. It was interesting and when you clicked on the links for that date it also showed you a picture and provided more information; including the distance of how close the comet or asteroid was to earth.
Science Treasure Hunt 1: I went to this website and chose the Cells Alive activity. This animation allowed you to be in control as you watched the stages of Animal Cell Mitosis. I thought this site was nice because it is interactive and provided games, puzzles, animations, quizzes, and more. It would be a good activity to have students go to this website and explore on their own.

  12. Science Treasure Hunt:
I like this website because it asks you a question, and the students are to navigate the suggested web page for the answer. This helps kids get used to navigating the web while also learning content. The student has to look for the answer in the passages rather then just being given the answer directly. This is a great way to introduce web navigation to students while incorporating content questions.

Science Lesson: Yuckiest Site on the Internet
This is a cool website because a list of questions is provided and group members have to navigate the specific website to answer the questions. The website the students are supposed to navigate is a really cool and interactive website with a lot of neat facts and pictures. I think the information is easy to understand, creative, and interesting. Students would love to play around on these websites. I think students would prefer navigating and exploring on this website then looking up answers to the questions in a textbook.

    Science
I think this is a really good resource for teachers to use when teaching science. At first all of the sites appear to be overwhelming, but the description of the websites is really helpful. I didn't get a chance to click on them all, but I clicked on a handful and the links provide helpful resources to assist you in a topic or direct you toward a site that will be more helpful. There are lots of fun activities for children to participate in, along with hands on labs, assessment ideas, and other activities.

    Bill Nye the Science Guy
I couldn't get this website to work, but I know that I will keep trying when I am looking for resources to use in my classroom. I chose to talk about this one because we used lots of videos and Internet activities with Bill Nye when I was in elementary school. He was so enthusiastic and entertaining he almost made science humorous. I know that my class got very excited when we got to watch to Bill Nye videos. We actually learned the material because we were intently interested in his experiments and teachings.

    Science Fair Fundamentals
This is another great resourceful website. I think this website is mainly geared toward students who are producing science fair projects. Many of the sites present a problem, explain the experiment, and give helpful hints and steps to follow when producing and testing this experiment. I like this site because there are so many different websites to visit that have so many interesting and creative ideas to use. I would definitely share this website with my classroom when assigning a project for them to complete.

  13. The Science Fair website is a really nice website for kids. It gives such a detailed and better understanding on how to create a science fair project. Throughout this page, I noticed that many of the sites will present the child with a problem, steps to solve the problem, and helpful hints when producing the experiment.

The Science page gave so many different helpful resources. I believe this page was more geared towards teachers and persons teaching science. I liked how this page provided more websites and more hands on activities for the students to try.

Science Lesson: Yuckiest Site on the Internet: This website by far is the most hands on internet learning for the students. The website provides questions to the students and then they have to navigate through the different pages to try to find the answer.

Science Treasure Hunt is also a very fun and interactive website for the students. This website also gives the students a question and then they are to navigate throughout other pages to try to find the answer. This page would not only help the students learn how to navigate the internet but also has the students reading through different passages for the answers.

Science Fair Fundamentals is also a great website to help students understand the process of a science fair project. This website suggested many different pages to also help the students with their projects.

  14. Science Fair
If I was going to have a science fair i would first make my students go to this website. I think the students would respond really well. There are several different ideas they could get for the science ideas. I think the students would also like things you should do for a science fair. Even students that normally struggle with science projects here they are step by step site for science projects.
    Yuckiest site on the internet:
Students would find this website a lot of fun. It didn’t matter what age of grade schoolers you had I think a lot of them would find this website fun and also very informational. The website is very creative and interactive and that is what you want when you teach students.
    Science treasure hunt:
This website gives a lot of information in a different way it just like a web quest which i think students really like I also think the puzzles are a fun way for students to learn information. The only drawback would be that you would have to a lot of time allocated to doing this activity but if time was permitting your students could have a lot of fun with this website.

  15. Science Fair Fundamentals
-Having growing up doing science fairs and attending the International Science and Engineering Fair throughout high school, I know firsthand the benefits of doing science fair projects. I have seen amazing projects that will and have changed our lives. I really liked how this website had a link to over 500 project ideas to help students generate ideas and find topics that interest them. If students are not interested and engaged in the topic, they will be less likely to enjoy the project and just complete the minimum requirements. I also liked all of the other resources that this website offered in order to get students off to a great start with science fair. Overall, I feel that science fairs can open a whole new world to students and provide them with wonderful opportunities. This website did an amazing job in providing resources for students, teachers, and parents and is such a valuable resource!

    Science Fair Preparation
-One thought that this website mentioned was that teachers should model and demonstrate a science project in order to show students what is expected of them. I believe this is important because it gives students a clear understanding of what is expected of them before delving into the science project. Also, I felt the questions that students should ask themselves when selecting a topic were very helpful. Some of the questions include: “Is my topic interesting to me? Is my topic realistic? Do I have enough time to complete the experiment?” Additionally, the website offered a lot of great advice on attention getting characteristics, scoring guidelines, science fair forms, and how to choose a topic. There were many helpful tips in preparing for science fairs that are useful to students and teachers. All in all, this is a great resource to show students prior to science fair to help them prepare.

Science Lesson: Yukiest Site on the Internet
-Upon clicking on the link, I found this to be a really fun website. Students can ask Wendell a question, check out roach world, explore worm world, play games, or find out about their own bodies. This would be a great website to use when studying worms or insects in order to give students an in depth study of cockroaches or worms. This activity also has students work in pairs, which is beneficial to students in order to be able to investigate and hear his/her partner’s ideas. As a teacher, I appreciated the information on the side panel explaining what science standards this activity met and how to use the activity with different age groups. Overall, this would be a fun website for students to use to learn more about the life sciences.

  16. Science
-This website offered a ton of ideas for teachers to use in the classroom. Also, this website provided a number of sources, such as the American Museum of Natural History, and many others. The website also offered probing questions including how does a caterpillar become a butterfly and many others for students to explore. Overall, I felt this website was an amazing source of information, activities, and science experiments to try in the classroom. This would be a great website to allow students to explore science topics more in-depth and to share with parents as well!

    Science Treasure Hunt #1
-I was really impressed with this website. This website was easy to navigate for students and gave them a specific question to search for. The only thing I do not like about this website is how broad the topics are and how spread out they are. One minute they are having students look for a question related to cells and the next question pertains to light, weather, or some other topic. I think they could have set the treasure hunt up to allow students to explore just one topic, such as weather, in depth to give students more information on one topic rather than array of topics. Overall, I think the idea of a treasure hunt is a fun way to get students to answer questions in a fun way. All in all, I felt this website would be a great source for students and teachers.
